Red is the youngest of Raven's three children, and the only one who was not born a Magi. At a young age, after his sister Brandee's abduction, Raven and her eldest son Brandson were at odds that resulted in the brothers being separated; Brandson would go on to become the Merchant Prince of Fae's Reach, while Raven sought refuge in the isolated village of Lacuna with Red.
