Starting in 1945, at the end of the Second World War, and lasting until about 1970, the United States Government built many low cost houses and apartment buildings for returning soldiers and their families. These were called GI Homes. Manchester Pavillion is one of the last GI Homes in the city, most being torn down due to disuse, and was built in 1946. This older building still maintains it's 20th Century charm, and with a 2bd 1bth unit availible, is the perfect place to dorm while going to
