This is Omen from the Nocturnia Series by Chaz Watkins, close friends with Xander, the two of them were always going off on raids against the Carrion Brigg Society to try and prove their worth to the pure bloods; that all changed though when they discovered Gravier' treachery. He was one of the half-breeds who decided to flee from the corruption of the Oath after Gravier took over and he would go on to follow Chazael' team in their struggles against overwhelming odds.
