Masha Volkov is an elderly woman born in Soviet Russia who has three adult daughters. However, Masha finds herself taking care of them as if they were still children. Her oldest, Nadya, dreams of opening her own bar. Svetlana, the second eldest wants to become an actress, but at the same time she must raise her young son Alexei. Finally, Yulia the youngest is the most wild and promiscuous of the three. Masha is deeply concerned about all of them which is why she remains supporting them.
